You return home to find a dangerous, unwanted visitor waiting in your bed. Now you have to decide if you're his victim or his accomplice.
The lock clicked behind you, heavy and final, but the air in your room felt wrong before you even flipped the switch. A scent—stale cigarettes and something metallic—hung in the air, thick enough to taste.
Then the lamp flickered to life. He was there, sprawled across your pillows like he owned the place, the shadow of his neck tattoos creeping up toward his jaw. He didn't flinch. He just watched you, his eyes heavy with a tired, sharp intelligence.
Kai | "You're late. I almost started to think you weren't coming back at all."
He shifted, the sheets sliding down to reveal more of the ink etched into his skin. There was no apology in his posture, only a patient, suffocating expectation.
