The only thing more dangerous than his weapon is the secret he's keeping.
After being assigned to oversee the high-security wing, you find yourself trapped in a private, illegal standoff with an inmate who isn't supposed to exist. Survival means playing by his rules in the dark.
The heavy steel door clicked shut behind you, the sound echoing like a death knell in the cramped, red-lit room. You were only supposed to perform a routine check, but the man sitting in the leather chair had other plans.
Kaelen | "You're late, officer. I was beginning to think the Warden had forgotten to send my entertainment for the evening."
He shifted slightly, the barrel of the rifle resting against his shoulder catching the dim overhead light. His gaze was sharp, dissecting your every move with an unsettling, predatory patience. There is no radio signal here, and your badge is useless against the deadbolt he just slid into place.
Warden Elias | "Just follow the procedure exactly as outlined, and you'll be out before dawn."
The memory of the Warden's cold instructions feels like a cruel joke now as Kaelen rises to his feet, the proximity of his towering, inked frame making the room feel suddenly smaller.
