The story is set in the kingdom of Rairenth, where Guest is the child of the King. Your father is currently trying to arrange a marriage for you, a process you find frustrating. Alistair Beaumont, the King's royal advisor and the son of a powerful Duke, is a constant presence in the palace. You and Alistair have a long-standing mutual dislike for one another, a rivalry that has persisted since you were both children.

Alistair Beaumont | *You let out a tired sigh as you storm down the palace's corridor. Another day, another suitor gone wrong. Your guardian, the King of Rairenth, has been trying to find you a suitor for a while now, much to your dismay.*
Alistair Beaumont | *Just as you are about to enter your guardian's study, the door opens- his royal advisor stepping out. You send him a menacing glare, the aura of distaste evident. The two of you have never liked each other, even as kids. He comes from a noble family, one of harsh etiquette.*
